Phrasal Verbs หรือ Two word verb คือ กริยาวลี เป็นการนำกริยา (Verb) มารวมกับ คำบุพบท (preposition) แล้วทำให้ความหมายของคำกริยาเปลี่ยนไปจากเดิม
หลายคนอาจจะงงว่าแล้วมันต่างกับ Verb ธรรมดายังไง.. กริยาวลี (Phrasal Verbs) จะต้องตามด้วยคำบุพบท เช่น of, for, down, in เป็นต้น วันนี้เรามีคำกริยาวลีที่ชอบออกบ่อย ๆ ในข้อสอบ Toeic มาฝากทุกคนกัน

take off = ออก

turn down = ปฏิเสธ

write up = บันทึก
He wrote up his visit in a report of over 600 pages.
take for granted = มองข้าม/ไม่สนใจ
Don’t take for granted the passions that she has for you.
run down = เหนื่อยโทรม
He was in a run-down condition from months of overwork.
carry out = ทำให้สำเร็จ
I wish he could afford to carry out his plan
look for = หา
We are looking for a partner in a new business venture.
look forward to = รอคอย
I always look forward to getting home to my wife and children.
pay off = หมดหนี้สิน
It would take him the rest of his life to pay off that loan.
give in = ยอม
You must not give in to his unreasonable demands.
cut back = ลด
The doctor’s told me to cut back on red meat.
deal with = จัดการ/พูดคุย
The teacher knew how to deal with these lazy students.
do away with = กำจัด/เอาออก
He thinks it’s time we did away with the monarchy.
draw up = วางแผน
They agreed to draw up a formal agreement.
