Jewel of Thailand The inspiration of this costume came from one of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s evening costumes named Sivalai. The designer has modernized the embroidery of the costume. Jewel of Thailand is the national costume which is created by collaboration of different artists. It is skillfully embroidered for haute couture, with graphic of art deco using gold cord and more than 300’000 crystals with the technique of “Lesage”. The design of the embroidery was inspired by the paintings on a wall of the Royal Temple. Apart from the costume itself there are 7 additional decorations: top tiara (head decoration), ear rings, necklace, bracelet (upper arm decoration), girdle, belt and rings. All decorations are made of gold plated silver with Swarovski Zirconia. The top tiara is a very special head decoration with design from the old top tiara from the end of King Rama 5’s period. Jewel of Thailand is not only a national costume but it also represents the elegance, high quality of art and precious Thai tradition of our Royal family which is the pride of Thai people. ❤🇹🇭🙏🏻 @zomo.zomo
